Full Review here … Expand However, Nintendo and Team Ninja opted to deviate from the traditional first person format of previous Metroid games in preference of a more “linear” action game. Discovering items that would lend you the ability to pick up items you once thought you could never get was wonderful. That sensation of stumbling upon an item that was just out of reach, wondering how anyone could possibly get it, was motivation in itself to obtain such items throughout the campaign. Now I admit that I was not very good at that game and I'm sure I put in 100 plus hours to finally beat it, but the simplicity of the mechanics were very easy for me to pick up on, and the exploration element that Metroid games are known for was so compelling. I was in a Wal-Mart and decided you know what, let’s give it a try. Metroid: Other M came out in August of 2010 with mixed reviews.
